UC Irvine’s alumni family follows the traits of its namesake, the Giant Anteater, as Anteaters (furry or at-heart) don’t often roam far from home. Nearly 75 percent of our more than 100,000 alumni remain in southern California long after commencement ceremonies have concluded. UC Irvine alumni are outstanding leaders in the arts, sciences, business, education, medicine – all walks of life.
With the help of alumni volunteers and community and campus partners, the UCI Alumni Association sponsors a variety of programs and services to fortify UC Irvine’s ability to recruit students, award scholarships, mentor current students and connect alumni with the broader university community.
The annual Dinner for 12 Anteaters fall event brings UCI students and alumni together for a casual dinner, great conversation and a night of camaraderie.
Our award-winning Homecoming Celebration brings alumni and their families back to campus each winter for a community festival before the UC Irvine Men’s Basketball Homecoming game.
Lauds & Laurels is our signature alumni awards event, honoring those alumni and friends each spring that continue to bring distinction to the university.
Again, welcome back to campus – we hope you will visit us often!
